Kaug Refinery Services applies for environmental approval

Santos subsidiary seeking green light for $330 million Western Australian biofuel refinery

The project, proposed for Kwinana, will produce renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel from renewable feedstocks.

Kaug Refinery Services has lodged an application for environmental approval for a $330 million biofuel refinery in Western Australia.

The Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project would produce renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from renewable feedstocks, including tallow, used cooking oil, and animal fats.

The project is expected to create up to 200 jobs during construction and 60 ongoing operational roles.
