Bournemouth Agrees Club-Record Fee for Striker

Tottenham Hotspur Set to Sign Bournemouth's Leading Scorer

Premier League side Bournemouth has agreed to sell their star striker Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur for a club-record transfer fee, according to reports. Solanke, who joined Bournemouth from Liverpool in 2019 for £19 million, has been a key player for the Cherries.

The 25-year-old scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season, making him the second-highest scorer for Bournemouth. He has extended his contract with Bournemouth until 2027, but it is understood that he has a release clause in his contract that could allow him to leave for a fee of around £65 million.

Liverpool is said to have a 20% sell-on clause in Solanke's contract, meaning they could receive a significant windfall from his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur. The transfer fee is expected to be a record for Bournemouth, surpassing the £35 million they received for Nathan Ake in 2017.

Solanke's departure is a blow to Bournemouth, but it could provide them with the funds to strengthen their squad in other areas. The Cherries are aiming to improve on their 15th-placed finish last season and will be hoping to challenge for a place in the top half of the table.
