Eligibility and Requirements

Indian and foreign nationals who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 outside India are eligible to receive a booster dose in the country. The booster dose can be administered at any COVID-19 vaccination center in India.

Documentation Required

* Valid passport * Original vaccination certificate issued by the country where the primary vaccination was received * Translation of the vaccination certificate into English, if necessary

Procedure

1. Visit a designated COVID-19 vaccination center. 2. Provide your valid passport and original vaccination certificate to the health care provider. 3. Register for the booster dose by providing your personal details and consent form. 4. Receive the booster dose of the Covishield or Covaxin vaccine.

Important Notes

* The booster dose can be administered after a minimum of 4 months from the completion of the primary vaccination series. * The booster dose will be recorded in the Co-WIN vaccination platform. * There is no cost for the booster dose for Indian citizens. For foreign nationals, a nominal fee may apply.
