The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a Code Orange warning for severe thunderstorms in effect from 4 pm today. The warning applies to the entire country, and residents are advised to take precautions.
After a mostly dry day tomorrow with some sunshine, the afternoon will become cloudy with periods of rain. The Belgian Royal Meteorological Institute (KMI) has also issued a Code Yellow warning for thunderstorms, valid from 6 pm tomorrow and covering the entire country.
The KNMI has escalated its warning for Tuesday evening to Code Orange, indicating a high risk of severe weather. This warning is in place for the provinces of North Holland and the Wadden Islands from 2 am to 8 am on Monday.
